My favorite subjects

Hello everyone, today I will tell you about my favorite subjects in the food engineering curriculum, considering that I still have ten more required courses to take.

Among my favorites are "Laboratorio de Química General" and "Química y Análisis de los Alimentos". These are subjects in which I learned a lot, and I enjoyed the process. I think that being able to "work" in a laboratory and become familiar with the instruments, methods and equipment as soon as you enter the faculty is one of the best opportunities we have as students. Besides the fact that many times you work in pairs or groups, so you meet people and have the opportunity to interact with your classmates.

As for mathematics, my favorites are "Fisicoquímica orientada a los Alimentos" and "Operaciones Unitarias". Yes, they are difficult and often stressful, but I love to sit down and figure out how to solve a problem chemically and mathematically. Especially from OPU, where they are industry problems that we might have to solve in the future.

And finally, "Nutrición" and "Carnes". I liked the subject, the teachers, the organization of the course, everything. The first one was a lot of fun, we had a different subject every week and there were games, challenges and competitions with prizes.

To tell the truth, some subjects of the course turned out to be much more difficult and demanding than I imagined, but all the subjects I have mentioned met my expectations.

It is difficult to say what I have learned, because there have been so many things. But, I finally know how to make jerky and which ones I shouldn't buy for anything in the world hahaha.

Thank you very much for reading!
