English 4: Post 4: Micifuz (Free theme)
Hello!
In this post I will tell you about the newest member of the family.
I want to start by telling you that when I was little I had a cat named Micha, and like all the pets we have had, she slept outside, in the basement. The thing is that she never liked me, one day she even attacked me and I couldn't go out to the yard in peace, the only way was to go out with a stick and, besides, I forced my brother to cover my back. So, as you can imagine, I was not amused when my little brother (Lorenzo) started insisting on being allowed to adopt a cat.
But Micifuz arrived at the house anyway. His former family had left him tied up in a bag with his mother and other siblings (it is sad but in the south it is very common). We thought he was a female and that he was a mute. It turned out to be male and just shy. As he was so tiny we decided that he would sleep inside the house for the first months, and he turned out to be surprisingly very obedient and intelligent.
I admit that I loved him from the first day, although he didn't do much more than sleep, he loved to be with us, to be hugged, to be covered to sleep, to be held in our arms and to play with him. One day, he stole a piece of cheese and my father as punishment left him in his cage in the yard. It was his first night out and I cried a lot. I was telling my boyfriend that it was better to give him to another family who would take better care of him. He still teases me about it. The next day everything went back to normal hahahaha.
In the winter it kept me a lot of company, especially while I was in my online classes. I loved having it on my legs because it kept me warm, and in the evenings I would put it on my feet. So we spent most of the winter together. In fact, when I was really stressed or sad, I would hug it or put it on my chest and it relaxed me a lot. I think the arrival of Micifuz in the house in times of quarantine was very timely. I discovered that cats are unique, complex and very special animals, which can be very interesting and a very relaxing companion as well. In fact, I like to have routines with him (in the mornings he comes up to meow at my window to be let in) and am am amused at how well he manages to communicate with his humans (when he wants food, when he is thirsty, when he wants to play and even when he wants to be held). We also enjoy his graces... especially the fact that he likes water so much (if you get lost, he's already all wet).
I know it's not a very deep topic, but I really wanted to share how special Micifuz has become for me, especially after refusing so hard to have cats. Being in Santiago I miss him very much. 💕
Thanks for reading 💙💙

Checked.
